Dear Community Friends and Advocates: 

We hope that this correspondence finds you well and that you were able to join us last Saturday for our Kick-Off Event.  It was a great time had by all! The spirit of the day was captured in the attached  Washington Informer article from Wednesday, July 31 ^st . Your support in helping tomake first festival a success is greatly appreciated! You will find that much of key feedback provided by the work plan group to date will be reflected in upcoming festival themes, programs and or activities. As we move forward with the remaining dates, we look forward to your continuedinput and participation . 

The next Festival Work Plan Group Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 7 ^th at 6:30pm. During this time , a recap of the kick–off event will be provided and we will share the exciting plans for the Summer Weekend Celebration,  Saturday, August 17 ^{th –} Sunday  August 18th. Also, additional areas of help will be identified in  hopes that  we can count on you for volunteering on site, helping to spread the word or providing service in kind .
