AUG 17 + 18 | Arts & Humanities Festival SUPER WEEKEND!
Hey Guys--
This is the summer of fun in Ward 8! There are lots of fun things to do and even more ways to give back! It seems like almost every weekend there is a new creative, family and community building event going on. Ward 8 has never looked so good in terms of the free events!
LUMEN8ANACOSTIA is closing this Saturday with a
finale party but don't fear -- there are still opportunities to get your creative fun on this summer!
The Arts & Humanities Festival at Saint Elizabeths East is back next weekend for the finale of their free festival events!
Saturday, August 17th and
Sunday, August 18th come out for a super jam packed weekend of music, food, dance, art and more creative talent than you can shake a stick at! You can RSVP for the event on Facebook
HERE and
HERE.
This will be the last weekend for the Arts & Humanities Festival at Saint Elizabeths East so if you missed the kick-off this is your chance to check it out! If you attended the kick-off then you know how much fun you had and you can come back with more friends and family!
Including flyers below. BTW, the festival is in need of volunteers & vendors. To be a volunteer go

You can also stay up to date on the Arts & Humanities Festival on their Facebook page and Twitter feed!
P.S. Given the historical significance of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the March on Washington on Saturday, August 24, the Arts & Humanities Festival previously scheduled event held on the same day has been respectfully cancelled so that the community can support The District and encourage residents to partake in this monumental occasion! They encourage you to join them for the culminating festival event on Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18 for the Summer.
