DC has emergency funds available to reimburse food losses.
If you are (or know) a DC resident who lost power and had to throw away food because of the power outage, the city will provide reimbursement for the loss.
The reimbursement will come in the form of added value to an existing EBT (SNAP, Food Stamps) card.
To receive reimbursement, you must
1) Be a DC resident. 2) Receive EBT (SNAP, Food Stamp) benefits, before the storm hit. 3) Request funding from the city before the July 11 deadline. THAT"S THIS WEDNESDAY!!
