This Saturday, May 5, Achievement Preparatory Academy is hosting its inaugural Achievement Prep Community Day from 12-3pm at Oxon Run Park, on the corner of Wheeler Road and Valley Ave SE. One of the highest-performing middle schools in the city, Achievement Prep is organizing the event to celebrate its partnership with the East of the River community and highlight a range of resources available for families in the community. This free event will feature great food, music, and plenty of games and fun for kids, as well as health, social service, and job resources from organizations like the Children’s Hospital Mobile Unit. Hill Country BBQ is sponsoring free food and beverage for the event, and there will be items—from iPods to gift cards—raffled off across the day.
