A warrant was issued last month for the arrest of 37-year-old Tyrone Harris, who is being charged in the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl in Congress Heights on or around Dec. 18. Members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force are asking the readers of The Washington Examiner to help find him.
"This guy is a real gem. Let's get him off the streets," said Deputy Bryan Gillespy.
Harris is described as being 6-feet tall and 175 pounds. He had dreadlocks but might have since cut them off, deputies said. Harris grew up on the 100 block of Xenia Street SE and is still known to frequent the area.
Anyone with information regarding Harris' whereabouts is urged to call Gillespy at 301-489-1717 or 800-336-0102.
