Call & Response: Community and Creativity
is an Anacostia Community Museum arts initiative that explores themes of creativity, identity, and community. Citified, an online exhibition and component of the larger Call & Response project, seeks to give the audience a glimpse inside the daily creativity of the Anacostia community—through the lens of visual art and crafts—while introducing individuals to the creativity found within Ward 7 and Ward 8.
Visual artists and craftspeople are asked to submit an example of their works of art, craft, or other creations. Please see “Submission Guidelines”’ below. You may photograph your work via digital camera (72dpi) or camera phone, or send in printed photos of your creations via postal mail.
Please submit materials via e-mail to Tanekeya Word, wordts@si.edu, with “Citified Submission” as the subject, or via postal mail at the address listed below. Upon receipt and review of your work you will receive an e-mail confirmation with further instructions.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Eligibility:
We are seeking creative works from visual artists and craftspeople located in Wards 7 and 8 in Washington, DC. Examples of work eligible for submission include: visual art (i.e., painting, photography, illustration, sculpture, tattoos [tattoo artists must submit photographs of work or designs]) and crafts (quilts, dolls, basket weaving, and more).
