Smithsonian Anacostia Community Museum call for vendors
The ACM will be holding Family Day: All Things Gullah on July 23, 2011 at the Anacostia Museum. This Family Day celebrations will be a little different as we will include a marketplace which will feature vendors from the Gullah Geechie regions. We would like to invite Ward 7 and Ward 8 artists and crafters to apply to this marketplace. As you may be aware, our Family Day celebrations usually pull in over 700 visitors. This year, we anticipate an even larger crowd, since we will have groups from the Gullah region travelling to the event. We will also be trying to document the largest recorded Ring Shawt. I
