9 AM to 1 PM
Join the Congress Heights Community Association, Casey Trees and the National Park Service as we plant new oaks, crab-apples and
cherry trees
in our
neighborhood park
. We’ll be meeting neighbors, getting exercise outdoors, and improving the park for future generations.
Shepherd Park
is located at the corner of
Malcolm X
and
Martin Luther King
Avenues SE, just off of 295 and close to
Congress Heights
Metro.
Gloves, bags, and a pizza lunch will be provided. Wear
good shoes and clothes
you can get dirty.
