The 2011 Indie Soap Awards were held on Monday Night in New York City at the Alvin Ailey Performing Arts Center in Manhattan. In attendance were Daytime Emmy Award Winners  Martha Byrne (Lilly, As The World Turns),  Kim Zimmer(Reva, Guiding Light) and   Hilary B. Smith (Norah, One Life To Live).

In the words of  Kim Zimmer as she stated to the audience "I just want to know why am I not on ANACOSTIA"

With over 30 Media Outlets on hand, the cast of ANACOSTIA set the Red Carpet on Fire with Custom Designer Gowns from local Designers including  Cantoire and on Tuesday morning were given the title  BEST DRESSED  CAST by Stylist Cisco Vegas of Da Doo Dirty Show in New York City.

Anthony Anderson -  Outstanding Lead Actor

Pasha Diallo -  Outstanding Breakthrough Performance

Anthony Anderson also gave what all agreed was the best acceptance speech of the night as he won Best Actor!
