I wish I could say this was the first time this has happened but I can't.

Last night, The Advoc8te along with about a half dozen members of the community went to the UPO Petey green center for the scheduled July  ANC 8C meeting.

The UPO thought we were having a meeting.
Residents thought we were having a meeting.
At least one ANC Commissioner (Ellis) thought we were having a meeting.

Yet there was no meeting. No note. No flier. No email. No call. No blog post. Not even a post-it note.

Another no show.

Perhaps the meeting was rescheduled for next week due to this week's holiday but it would have been nice to know that, especailly considering ANC law is pretty specific about proper notice for ANC meetings. No proper notice for meetings = invalid meeting. Anything voted on in an invalid meeting is just that - invalid.
