The Ward 8 farmers market will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays in the parking lot of the old Congress Heights School, 500 Alabama Ave. SE., and beginning next week, in the parking lot of United Medical Center, 1310 Southern Ave. SE, from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays.


Both locations accept debit cards, food stamps and coupons issued by the WIC and the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition programs.
