Are you looking for a 6 week summer program and a program for the upcoming 2010-2011 school year that will get your child ready for the 8th grade and Higher Education?

P.O.W.E.R is a six (6) year initiative developed in partnership between the United Planning Organization (UPO) and the American University School of Education, Teaching and Health (SETH) to provide youth with higher education preparation, along with social justice and cultural enrichment activities.

During the summer, students will attend P.O.W.E.R. on American University’s campus Monday – Friday for up to six weeks. The coursework will concentrate on enhancing the youths’ skills in science, math, English, social studies and an elective focuses on cultural enrichment or guides in the exploration of a social justice issue.

Lastly please Join us for our mothly Movie Night on Friday, May 28, 2010 at 6 pm. The movie that we are showing is AVATAR. The doors will open at 5:45 pm. From 6 pm - 6:45 pm we will do a family enrichment session with everyone. At 7 pm we will start the movie. The cost is free.
