PSA 705 Mtng Tomorrow to Discuss Nuisance Properties


As a follow up to last months meeting where 705 residents had continuing concerns about several nuisance properties in the area this month the focus of the meeting will be on solving nuisance property problems and/or having the property shut down. At tomorrow's meeting there will be representatives from several DC agencies including the Section 8 program to discuss how they can be of assisting in abating nuisance property complaints.

Residents were advised to come to tomorrow night's meeting with a list of their two worst properties in the area and the problems they are experiencing with it. At this meeting 705 residents will be electing their "top three" nuisance properties to work with the police to have resolved.
If you have a nuisance property in 705 that you like to have nominated to be abated or if you would like information on MPD and DC agency rescources that can help you solve a problem property in your area please attend this meeting.

Police Service Area (PSA 705) will be meeting Tuesday, August 25th at 6:30pm at the UPO Petey Greene Center. The meeting will last about an hour so if you have to come late please come.

Tomorrow's meeting is at 6:30pm at the UPO Petey Greene Center which is located at 2907 MLK Ave SE which is right next to the King Gas station. There is gated parking as well as parking on the street. The meeting starts at 6:30pm but if you can't make it at 6:30 feel free to come in late - your input is that important.Every resident lives in a Police Service Area (PSA), and every PSA has a team of police officers and officials assigned to it. Residents should get to know their PSA team members and learn how to work with them to fight crime and disorder in their neighborhoods.
