Tuesday, August 4, 2009, the Seventh District and Ward Eight will host the citywide kickoff of 2009 National Night Out. The program and activities will begin promptly at 5:00 and end at 9:00 pm at THEARC, 1901 Mississippi Avenue SE. Please come out!

The program will feature presentations from numerous leaders, entertainment, fun activities, and food. Various government agencies, non-profits and several business sponsors will be on hand with information throughout the evening.

This year, will exhibit MPD’s Domestic Security Operations Unit equipment and showcase equipment from the Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security. In addition, the DC National Guard and other DC government agencies and local non-profits will highlight their work in the community.
