8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Chancellor Michelle Rhee invites parents, teachers, students and the community to assist with the beautification efforts and encourages you to register now.

This annual event was established in 2005 as a citywide “spruce up” of all DC public school buildings in preparation for the first day of school.

Beautification efforts will include:
landscaping
trash pick-up
light painting
planting flowers
other external beautification efforts.
Volunteers are needed at over 100 schools.
