The city-wide event will be held during the same time period on the Mall with federal and regional law enforcement partners. This email is to request your attendance and support of this event. We need volunteers to host games, assist with activities, staff food and drink stations, and provide all around assistance to make sure that the 7th District event is the best in the city. We will have tables available for organizations to use for setting up displays and passing out information about their programs and services. We want to reach as many residents and possible, so let me know if you are interested in reserving your table.

What is National Night Out?National Night Out (NNO) is an annual event, sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch . It takes place on the first Tuesday in August. Each year, the Metropolitan Police Department actively participates in National Night Out by rallying community members throughout the District of Columbia to join with neighbors and police officers in their PSAs to be a part of this annual event. The National Night Out campaign involves citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from 9,500 communities from all 50 states, US territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide.
