Come watch spoken word poets compete in ROUND 1 of the Spoken Word to GoGo Championship this Thursday, May 4th at 7pm at Busboys and Poets Anacostia! Contestants will perform their spoken word poem to a selected track by The Experience Band. Round 1 contestants will be judged and the top 10 contestants will move on to the Virtual Voting Round.

Seminfinals will be on May 20th at the Anacostia River Festival Stage. Finals will be on June 24th on the GoGo Stage at the 31st Annual Giant Barbecue Battle. Championship prize is  $1000 + Recording Session with The Experience Band + Championship Trophy.
